Vitamin C increases white blood cells and antibodies preventing the entry of viruses. Research shows that people who have diets in vitamin C have lower rates of colon, breast, and prostate cancer.

Vitamin E is one of the most important immune system vitamins and minerals because of its ability to produce cells that seek out and destroy germs and cancer cells. Vitamin E also increases the body’s production of B-cells that are immune systems cells that lessen symptoms of immune symptom failure by destroying bacteria.

Carotenoids, which are full of beta carotene, also strengthen the immune system by increasing production of b-cells, t-cells and killer cells. The body converts beta carotene into vitamin A. It’s best to eat foods rich in beta carotene and let the body convert it to vitamin A. Too much vitamin A can be toxic.
