When lowering the weight, you are performing a negative movement. It is suggested that weights are lowered at a slow pace with control rather than a quick dropdown. This will give you full benefits of negatives in a workout. The weight should exceed the maximal press when bench pressing. Lower the bar slowly to the chest and return the bar to original position with the help of a partner.

ISOTENSION/FLEXING is a technique done during the resting periods between your sets. Flex and contact the muscles in training. This will keep them pumped and ready to continue. Isometrics include intense muscle contractions which is where the flexing comes into play.

SUPER SETS is a technique consisting of two or more workouts done in a row without stopping. Even three exercises can be done without stopping. This is known as a tri set. Super sets allow you to sequentially train two or more different parts of the body.

TWENTY ONES is an exercise technique on the number of reps completed in a set. Many bodybuilders use seven repetitions. When three different sets are done consecutively within the same movement, twenty one reps have actually been completed.

Some of the best muscle building exercises will be beneficial for building lean muscle mass. Take a stab at some workout techniques. Don’t be afraid to switch them up and change them around.
