Proteins play a fundamental role in repair functions in the body. They help in healing and repair of muscles, tendons, tissues and linings, wherever injuries may have been encountered or normal wear and tear processes occur.

Immunity of the body draws heavily from proteins. Antibodies are made up of a lot of protein and they play an active role in helping the body to fight and resist infections and diseases. Inadequate protein in the diet impairs immunity functions in the body.
