Muscle Building Protein Diet

If you are a body builder you have already heard it: You need a lot of protein in your diet to increase mass. You also need to cut out the sugars and most fats in your diet. That’s almost a no brainer, because most proteins have little or no fat or sugar content.

Role of Anabolic Hormones in Muscle Growth

Role Of Anabolic Hormones In Muscle Growth

Anabolic hormones are an important factor for muscle growth, and these hormones are produced naturally in some amount. Your body is constantly building up and tearing down tissues, and these processes never stop. Anabolic hormones and processes build up tissues using small building blocks, while catabolic hormones and processes tear down larger tissues and compounds to create the smaller building blocks needed for anabolic processes. Often having anabolic hormones in your system will prevent tissues including muscle to be torn down, and will build up these tissues instead. Aging slows the production of these hormones, which is why you may have some difficulty staying in shape as you age even if your diet and lifestyle have not changed. If you do not have a sufficient amount of these hormones then you may have a harder time losing fat or building muscle.

What are Prohormones and How They Work?

What Are Prohormones And How They Work?

What are prohormones, how do they work, and how are they related to legal and illegal steroids? Prohormones are the precursors which your body can use to convert to anabolic steroids, which are illegal when taken in drug form without a prescription but which your body will make in varying amounts naturally. The difference between illegal steroids and those that your body naturally produces is that your body has a limit to the amount of these substances that can be converted, while taking anabolic steroid drugs does not come with this built in limitation. The prohormones your body converts into steroids are legal in most cases, because your body does the conversion internally. Prohormones were banned in part by the Anabolic Steroid Control Act of 2004, but not all of the substances were banned under this act. New products appear on the market regularly, and some of the companies may be operating in a shady area of the law.
